The 3 Dwarf Planets in the Milky Way Solar System

A solar system is a star and the objects that travel around it. Our star is called the Sun. There are 3 dwarf planets that travel around the Sun. Ceres, Pluto, and Eris.

Ceres is the closest to the Sun. It is the largest known object in the asteroid belt. It was discovered in 1801. It is the smallest dwarf planet in the Milky way.

The next closest to to sun is little Pluto.
Discovered in 1930, Pluto was downgraded to a dwarf planet in 2006. It is about 30% smaller than Earth's moon and is composed mostly of nitrogen.

The dwarf planet, Eris, is about 10,000,000 km away from the Sun. One year on Eris is equal to 557 years on our planet, Earth. Of all the dwarf planets of our solar system, Eris is the largest.

Welcome to Ana's Blog: Our Solar System

I am a student that has taken an interest in our solar system.  This summer I have taken on the project of creating a blog about the interesting facts, prophecies, and myths about our solar system, that I find most interesting.  I'll include photos, graphics, links, and videos.

More to come the beginning of June.
